- Vocab/Spelling Packet:Vocab Exercise 5
Spelling pg. 180 Exercise B
- write your two metaphors on separate pieces of post-it notes and bring them tomorrow. When writing metaphors, choose:
- the topic/subject matter/word that you want to talk about (such as "happiness," "homework," etc.)
- the characteristic you want to describe the topic with (for example, you can either describe "happiness" as something beneficial/good or that it's fleeting and not permanent)
- think about something with that same characteristic that you can compare to
- don't forget that a metaphor should be in the form of "A is B" saying that one thing is another using forms of the verb "be"
